Well, we really hit the ground running after returning to work after the latest lockdown. I haven't stopped. Everyday has been fun and fast with some great company.
This past week, I had several large projects in progress, but here is a couple of ones where I remembered to get some photos. The first couple of pictures are of Mike's new geometry based leg piece. This session was more about laying foundations and structure ready for patterns to be added next session. The first photo is part of Ben's full sleeve. A large scene of a dragon and foo dog. This is the progress we made on the foo dog part of his arm. Well, we were finally allowed to return to work on Monday April the 12th! :D
We spent a total of just over 9 months in lockdown due to our close contact with clients. It sucked. The first week back was awesome. The socialising, the banter, the art and getting paid, I broke up Friday and finally felt I had earnt a few drinks and a good nights sleep for the first time since before Christmas. Below you can see progress on Chris's pirate themed sleeve. So far we are working on the skull-o-pus on his shoulder whilst the rest of his arm receives laser removal in anticipation for the rest of the art work. There is also Warren's calf piece, a photo of a rear gunner from a WW2 bomber. This was started last year and had to wait some months before we could get back in to finish it up. The same goes for Tom's shooting themed calf piece. A lovely dedication to fond memories of shooting with his Grandfather. We were both very happy to be able to wrap the project up after seeing it half finished for several months. Well, I finally finished my website! It may not sound like a lot, but I've been working on it through both lockdowns and finally managed to get it published and live. I'm pretty happy with it, I just need a headshot of me now for my About Me page.
I hope you all enjoy browsing through it, and I also hope you find some of the info on here useful. I'll try and update this blog now and then with works in progress, other work I create as well like drawings, digital art, illustrations for non tattoo clients. Maybe some non essential photos may make it on here as well. Keep on Truckin'. If you are reading this, then I managed to create and embed a blog. Well done me!
